The CECOLAB Association - COLLABORATIVE LABORATORY
TOWARDS CIRCULAR ECONOMY, recognizes the importance and the sensitive and
private nature of personal data, assuming the commitment in the fulfillment and
observance of the legislative framework which is applicable to it.
This Privacy Policy applies to all the processed and
collected personal data conducted by the CECOLAB Association.

Responsible for the processing of personal data
For the purposes of the RGPD, the data controller is
the CECOLAB Association - COLLABORATIVE
LABORATORY TOWARDS CIRCULAR ECONOMY, based in Rua Nossa Sr.ª da Conceição
n.º 2, 3405-155 Lagares, Oliveira do Hospital.

Collection and processing of Personal Data:
Within the scope of its activity, the CECOLAB
Association, collects and processes certain categories of Personal Data. The
collection and treatment operations are conducted in compliance with the legal
framework and, taking into account, the private nature of these data categories,
the CECOLAB Association only requests the personal data that is considered
strictly necessary in order to comply with the legal provisions to which the
CECOLAB Association is bound.

The data relating to the various categories of
Personal Data can be directly provided by its holder, can be collected, if
necessary, for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party;
or can be requested and processed when the data subject has given prior
consent. The CECOLAB Association collects Personal Data in person,
electronically, by telephone or in writing.

Treatment:
Among other operations, data processing includes:
collecting, registering, consulting, using, adapting, changing, storing and
destroying data.

Treatment of Personal Data - Purposes:
The processing of
Personal Data has the following purposes:
- Promotion and dissemination of the CECOLAB
Association activities, namely for marketing purposes;
- For the performance of a contract to which the data
subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject
prior to entering into a contract;
- Administrative, financial and resource management
purposes;
- Project management purposes.

Treatment of Personal Data - Principles:
The CECOLAB
Association processes Personal Data in the following cases:
a) In cases where the data subject has given prior
consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific
purposes;
b) performance of a contract to which the data subject
is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to
entering into a contract;
c) Processing is necessary for compliance with a legal
obligation to which the controller is subject;
d) When the treatment is necessary for the purposes of
the legitimate interests pursued by the controller, or by a third party.

Categories of Personal Data in question:
For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “Personal
Data” is considered to be information relating to the “data subject”, an identifiable
natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in
particular by reference to an identifier.
Hence, the
CECOLAB Association may collect and process the following categories of
Personal Data:
- Identification data, including the image;
- Contact details;
- Education, training and employment data;
- Life data and family situation, namely, financial or
social circumstances;
- Attendance and disciplinary data.

Automated decisions and profiling:
The collection
and processing of data does not provide for the existence of automated
decision-making, including profiling.
7.
International Data Transfer:
The CECOLAB
Association carries out the collection and processing of Data in national
territory, with no provision for international data transfers.
8. Period
of retention of Personal Data:
The CECOLAB Association will keep Personal Data for
the period of time strictly necessary to pursue the purposes for which the data
was collected. In the event of the existence of a contract between the CECOLAB
Association and the data subject, the CECOLAB Association will retain the
Personal Data for the term of the contract plus the limitation periods and
forfeiture of the rights arising therefrom, unless, for force of the law, it is
necessary to keep them for a longer period. Once the Personal Data retention
period has elapsed, they will be deleted / destroyed.
9. Data
subjects' rights of access, alteration and erasure ‘right to be forgotten’:
The data subject may request from the controller access
to, update or rectification, erasure of personal data or restrictions of
processing concerning the data subject and to object to processing as well as
the right to data portability. To this end, the data subject must address the controller:

The withdrawal of consent for the processing of
Personal Data does not compromise the lawfulness of the treatment carried out
based on the previously given consent.
If so, the data subject has the right to lodge a
complaint with the supervisory authority, in the Portuguese case, whose
competence belongs to the National Data Protection Commission, headquartered at
Rua de São Bento, nº 148, 3º, 1200 -821 Lisbon,
Portugal.
10. Changes to the Privacy Policy:
This
Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. It is advised to consult this
page periodically for any changes.
