CECOLAB, Collaborative Laboratory Towards Circular Economy, formalized, on April 20 and 21, at Oliveira do Hospital, an international cooperation with the Brazilian Circular Economy Innovation Center and the African Circular Economy (ACEN). The cooperation came as a result of the works that took place during the International Conference “Europe: the Knowledge & Science Bridge Towards a Global Circular Economy”.

Yesterday, ended the International Conference on Circular Economy. The Conference has gathered 25 specialists and international entities at CECOLAB (Collaborative Laboratory for Circular Economy), installed at the BLC3 Campus.

The Conference is to be held on the 20th and 21st of April 2021, in a mixed format: in person (at Oliveira do Hospital) and through digital.

CECOLAB: International Conference on Circular Economy gathers 25 specialists and international entities at Oliveira do Hospital
CECOLAB (Collaborative Laboratory for the Circular Economy), headquartered at BLC3, in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital, is organizing, together with the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the European Union, an international conference within the scope of Circular Economy. The Conference is to be held on the April 20 and 21, 2021, in a mixed format: face-to-face (at Oliveira do Hospital) and Webinar format.

Salaries are paid, partially, by a business support program. It is also through scientific investigation that Oliveira do Hospital begins to welcome people from other nationalities. In February 2020, a Collaborative Laboratory was founded and already employs 26 young researchers.

In August last year, the Government launched a support program for settling people in the interior region of the country. Today we are going to measure the result of this program. Called "Interior Employment Plus", the investment already exceeded four hundred thousand euros and, so far, allowed 568 people to stay in the interior region of the country.
